I just bought my first computer and know very little about it. I have some questions about it. Do I need to be a certified nerd to come to SEVCUG meetings?

The few certified nerds at SEVCUG meetings are always greatly outnumbered by ordinary human beings who have various degrees of knowledge about computers. If you'd just like to listen, no one will force you to speak. If you have a question, please don't be embarrassed to ask it. You and your question will be treated with respect.

I own a Macintosh. Is SEVCUG only for folks with Wintel computers?

Although SEVCUG is too small to have separate special interest groups (SIGs), we try to reflect the interests of our members. About 20% of our membership are Macintosh users, and we have had many presentations that are Macintosh specific or are of interest to Macintosh users. Because around 10% of our members use both Macintoshes and PC's, there's almost always someone present to answer a Macintosh related question, even at meetings where PC based topics are presented.
