Using Cascading Style Sheets on Your Web Site

The March Southeastern Vermont Computer Users Group meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 7:00 PM, at The Marlboro College Graduate Center. After a short business meeting and our usual question and answer session, Jennifer Kramer will give us a presentation on Using Cascading Style Sheets on Your Web Site.

Tired of a boatload of spacer GIFs, spaghetti HTML, and a zillion layers of nested font tags? Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to the rescue! In 2007, there is no need to be coding your web pages without a little CSS. Jen Kramer will get you started, covering:
  • The philosophy behind CSS
  • Why, in 2007, you should be using CSS for all your web sites
  • Advantages that using CSS gives to your site
  • How to set up a simple site using CSS

Jen Kramer, founder of Focused Consulting LLC, specializes in web site design focused on the clients' needs and spoken in language they understand. For over eight years, she has worked to develop sites that are functional, usable, accessible, and supportive of business and marketing goals.
